Rules

We use the ASA Rule book for game play.
Modifications of the rules for our field are listed below.

Check-in at least 1 hour prior to first game. Proof of insurance will be required. You will be given 4 scorecards at check-in. A team member must return a completed scorecard after each game.

Mercy rule – 8 runs after 5 innings. NO OTHER MERCY RULES APPLY.

Team listed first will be in first base dugout. Team on top of bracket with be at first base. IF A TEAM IS ALREADY OCCUPYING THE DUGOUT THEY WILL REMAIN. Home team determined by coin toss. Home team will supply official scorekeeper. CLEAN UP DUGOUT AFTER EACH GAME.

Protests NONE the decision of the field umpire/s will be final.

All games will be 1:30 no new inning – 1:40 drop dead.

Pool games may end in a tie. NOTE: If the visiting team takes a lead and the home team does not finish their last inning the score will revert to the last completed inning.

Single Elimination games will begin international tie breaker at the expiration of time or after 7 innings, whichever occurs first. All Single Elimination games MUST be played to a conclusion.

It will be YOUR responsibility to check on your FIRST elimination game time. THE COMPLETED BRACKETS WILL BE POSTED ON THE SO CALS FINEST WEB SITE SATURDAY NIGHT.

The Tournament Director/s will conduct the coin toss if teams are not available.
